The Oakland Raiders have revamped their already explosive offensive core with the additions of Marshawn Lynch, Jared Cook and Cordarelle Patterson. Lynch has certainly taken precedence this offseason, as the hometown acquisition with a chance to bring a Super Bowl to a departing NFL city.

At the same time, Lynch has also demonstrated a lot of philanthropic causes he has invested in. For example, his ride alongs in Oakland and neighborhood block parties have brought together his local community. The 31-year-old rarely turns down an opportunity to help out a good cause, recently choosing to participate in the ‘Zak and Friends’ charity match.

The ‘Zak and Friends’ charity match was hosted by former Seattle Sounders player Steve Zakuani, with a large turn out of celebrities, players and fans. During the match, Lynch was able to once again grab headlines, with an unexpected, but hilarious entrance into the match, via the Sounders Twitter:

Perhaps the funniest portion, not necessarily for the Raiders, was that Lynch ran onto the soccer field with slides on. He then proceed to casually trot down the field, before earning a red card by grabbing the ball with his hands and almost trucking the goalie.

In a joking manner, Lynch then shook hands with the goalie and returned the red card before receiving an applause as he left the field. The Raiders have to be excited with the returns from Lynch thus far, as he still exudes that charismatic ‘Beast Mode’ personality, while steadily returning to form as a running back.

Lynch certainly enjoyed his time with the Seattle Seahawks, creating many lasting relationships. The ‘Zak and Friends’ match provides scholarships to young athletes in the Seattle area. The five-time Pro-Bowler also was recently seen working out with a trainer on the beach, running through running back drills with boots on.
