The Oakland Raiders had a very successful offseason, with perhaps their two biggest signings being Marshawn Lynch and a record-breaking extension for quarterback Derek Carr.

They also made other acquisitions on the offensive side of the ball, adding dynamic wide receiver and return man Cordarrelle Patterson and tight end Jared Cook in free agency.

With those additions the Raiders now own one of the most prolific offenses in the league, as Carr has plenty of options of who to get the ball to.

Carr recently poked fun at the Seattle Seahawks though, saying that if the Raiders have the ball at the 1-yard line, he will be handing off the ball to Lynch, via Geoffrey Arnold of The Oregonian:

“So there’s no pressure, there’s no, ‘We’ll be on the 1-yard line and I won’t give it Marshawn, I’ll throw it.’ None of that stuff,” Carr told reporters Friday. “I don’t care about the stats. That’s not my No. 1 objective. I don’t care if I throw 10 touchdowns next year. If we win every game, that’s all I care about.”

What Carr is referring to is when the Seahawks threw the ball from the 1-yard line in Super Bowl 49, resulting in the New England Patriots intercepting Russell Wilson, sealing a Patriots victory.

With Carr under center the Raiders have high expectations going into the 2017 season, as last year they finished 12-4 and reached the postseason for the first time since 2003.
