Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis broke a lot of fans hearts in the city of Oakland earlier this year when he decided to move the team to Las Vegas.

One person who was affected by the move was retired running back and Oakland native Marshawn Lynch, who grew up a Raider fan.

Lynch recently decided to come out of retirement to play for his hometown Raiders, which was a match made in heaven as the Raiders were looking for a power running back after Latavius Murray left for the Minnesota Vikings in free agency.

At Tuesday practice Lynch revealed the reason why he decided to come out of retirement, and it had to do with Davis moving the team away from Oakland, via Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle:

Lynch went on to add that his decision had to do with the children in his hometown, Oakland:

The Raiders will still remain in Oakland for three, possibly four, more season while their new stadium is being built in Las Vegas.

While the move was tough on Oakland fans, the Raiders core nucleus, led by quarterback Derek Carr, will do their best to bring a Super Bowl Championship to the city of Oakland before they leave.

With Lynch at running back they may have the team to do that, as they are coming off their best season in over a decade as they went 12-4 in 2016.
